Country Engagement Officer

Leonora Mbithi is the Country Engagement Officer at SPARC. She supports all activities that ensure effective implementation, contributing to the planning and execution of engagements in specific countries’ activities and ensuring detailed process documentation to capture learnings. Previous to this assignment, she was the Program Analyst, providing technical assistance, analytical, country engagement, Monitoring and evaluation and operational support across various workstreams.

Before joining SPARC, she worked at Palladium Group in different capacities:

  • As a Learning and Planning specialist, under a USAID funded project, she provided technical assistance and project management at the county level, developed annual work plans, reviewed budgets, and supported the implementation of the program mandate.
  • As a Data Demand and Information Use Specialist and Strategic Information Associate, under a CDC funded HIV project. Leonora worked at the facility level with four different consortium programs, managing the Monitoring and Evaluation units to facilitate information use in decision making by developing the data management processes, tools and standard operating procedures for data quality and data analysis.

She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of South Wales and a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Makerere University.
